Merisel, the second-largest computer product distributor in the USA in 1996, distributes products for hundreds of manufactures.

Seren Systems developed the Merisel-POS system that would allow business partners access to the sales and inventory data. There were several applications to this suite that resided on a sub-net linked to the corporate mainframe.
